Hindi Film star of yesteryears Sridevi dies of accidental drowning around 11 p.m. on 24th February 2018 in Dubai where she went to attend a marriage function of her husband's nephew.

The versatile actress was only 54 years old and was not having any history of heart ailment.

She was the superstar actress of her time and played lead roles against the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Jitendra, Mithun Chakraborty, Anil Kapoor, Sunny Deol etc.

Sridevi began her film career at four. Her work was admired in "Mr India", "Khuda Gawah", "Nagina", "Sadma" and in many more films.

Her dance in the movie "Chandni" on the song "Mere Hathon main nau nau chudian hain" got her lot of applause from the audience. This dance made the movie a huge success.

Similarly, her dance on the song "Main teri dushman dushman tu mera" from the film "Nagina" was equally a great success.

Sridevi was not only appreciated for her dancing skills, but her acting work was also got many kudos from experts as well audience.

She paired with Anil Kapoor ( who became her brother in law later ) in many films. One of the greatest hits of all time was "Mr. India", where both the actors worked together.
